Unity Developers

Aarhus, Denmark or Remote | Full-time | 2+ years of experience | Perfect for developers wishing to advance their career in XR

SynergyXR is a powerful presentation platform that helps companies share big ideas in augmented and virtual reality. We believe all teams, from sales to service, work best when they’re able to communicate their ideas, products, and solutions faster, stronger, and easier. Augmented and virtual reality let you do all of that, but until now it’s been expensive and complicated. So that’s why we designed an easy way for people to use it without having to worry about all the technical stuff. We sum that up with our company mantra: XR to the people!

Our development team is the technical backbone of the company. We’re responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying SynergyXR to all the XR platforms we support, including HoloLens, Oculus Quest, desktop PC, iOS, and many more. All development is done in Unity to ensure cross-platform compatibility, but comprehensive knowledge of the individual platforms is needed to ensure the best user experience.

We’re looking for one or more Unity developers to support the development team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about XR technologies and already has a few years of experience in a similar position. You should be comfortable in the Unity editor knowing many of the capabilities it has to offer and in writing solid code in C#. You should also have experience in collaborating with 2D and 3D artists, and in converting customer needs into robust application features. This position is for our Aarhus, Denmark headquarters but can be performed remotely. This is a great opportunity to learn, grow and shape your career within the XR industry.

What you’ll do here:

  • Work with the latest emerging XR technologies – both hardware and software
  • Design and implement features and solutions
  • Help define the correct architecture for new features
  • Testing – automated, unit, integration as well as end-user tests
  • Maintain documentation of the codebase
  • Collaborate with the backend team to ensure the best possible interface
  • Build explorative proof-of-concepts as well as solid full-scale solutions

Let’s talk if you:

  • Love XR technology and want to help shape the future of SynergyXR
  • Have an education within software engineering, computer science or similar areas
  • Have at least 2 years of relevant industrial experience in Unity development
  • Have experience in SCRUM or similar agile development methodologies
  • Know your way around agile development tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Have experience with version control – preferably Git
  • Have knowledge of CI/CD principles
  • Can multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Enjoy working as part of a social team with a lot of different backgrounds
  • Are generally a cool and interesting person to work with

Being a Unity developer at SynergyXR has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of platforms and technologies.
