Quickly upload your content directly in your favorite web browser 

Since the launch of the SynergyXR platform, we have been committed to gathering feedback from our customers, trial users and members of the Creators Club. They have been flooding our mailboxes with constructive feedback, ideas for new features and feature requests that would help them in their XR transformation. And we’ve listened! 

Meet the Quick Upload – a browser-based, drag-and-drop content upload feature. But wait, there is more…

The Feature 

As of now workspace administrators will be able to upload 3D models, documents, videos, and other content directly quickly and easily from the user management portal, into their SynergyXR workspaces by just dragging and dropping them in the quick upload. For now, the feature will stay in the user management portal, sadly available only to administrators – but there are thrilling plans for the future – more on that later

Just like in the content manager available on Windows that our users know and love, thumbnails are automatically generated, so you can easily identify your files. The administrator has the option to name the file, as well as add an informative description and a URL that will be shown when you are inside SynergyXR in the info-panel, where you can find out more about what you are looking at. Finally, the admin can apply search tags to the content to make searching for it simpler. Once uploaded, the content is instantly available across all applications in the SynergyXR ecosystem

The web-based content management system was a part of quite a few of the conversations we were having for some time. Since our users almost doubled last year, we welcomed many who use Mac devices, which currently cannot use the Windows-based Manager. Therefore, the idea of a browser-based content manager was given a green light and went into development. However, we decided to take it a step further…

This Ladies and Gentlemen is just the beginning of an exciting journey, we are excited to invite you to follow. For the next few months in a series of feature releases, we will walk you through how a complete, web-based platform management portal for SynergyXR is born.  

Having our motto “XR to the people” in mind, we want to make sure that all our current and future users have access to quick and easy content management no matter the platform they use. The Quick Upload is just the first part of a browser-based content management system that has a goal of moving the Windows-based SynergyXR – Manager to the web browser. It is a natural next step as our user base continues to grow every day. 

That said, the bigger plan is to develop a complete, browser-based management system like the ones you know from various other tools. The main features will focus on:

  where all users in a workspace will be able to edit their user information and account details.  
• Content Management
  where all content necessary to start your XR journey could be uploaded and managed by the users with author role.  
• Team Management
  where administrators will be able to manage workspaces and all the teams and users within the company.
