Key definitions

The Metaverse

The Metaverse is the next evolution of the Internet. It's where we'll be able to use technology like augmented and virtual reality to immerse ourselves in vibrant digital worlds.

In the Metaverse, the physical and digital worlds we’ll be more combined and we’ll be able to enter into the worlds we see on our screens just like the things on our screen will become a part of our physical world.

So the way we see and interact with data and each other will be very different and will ultimately transform the way we live, work, and play.

The Corporate Metaverse

The Corporate Metaverse is the next evolution of how companies will work in the Metaverse. It's a radical transformation in how companies communicate, collaborate, and learn.

Why do we need another concept instead of just using the broader Metaverse concept? That’s simple. Companies, by their very nature, are inherently different and thus play by a very different set of rules.

That’s why we feel the need to establish some guardrails for how companies should think about the Corporate Metaverse.

Extended Reality (XR)

Extended reality (XR) is an umbrella term most often used to describe various forms of extended realities. At SynergyXR, we use it when talking about these extended realities:

- Augmented Reality (AR)
- Mixed Reality (MR)
- Virtual Reality (VR)

What makes SynergyXR unique is that we bring all of these extended realities together in a no-code, integrated platform (hence the name SynergyXR) so you have access to all your content no matter what type of XR you're working with. Smart, right?

$13 trillion dollar market

Experts around the world agree that the Metaverse represents a potential $8 trillion to $13 trillion opportunity by 2030.

2 billion daily users

Gartner expects that by 2026, 25% of people will spend at least one hour a day in the Metaverse. That's more than 2 billion people.

+34 million headsets

According to Statista, by 2024, the overall number of VR headsets is expected to surpass the 34 million mark.

The Essential Hardware Guide to the Corporate Metaverse

It can be confusing to understand exactly what the Corporate Metaveres is and isn’t. A lot of that confusion, however, can be cleared up once you’ve grasped the fundamentals of what devices you can use to access it. The upside is that you probably own a few of them.
